White on the outside, but inside it is all colors.....
What a waste of time and resources. Just think of all the community service they could have done in that amount of time. Instead of the bumber stcker that reads Helping hands are better than praying hands, maybe we need one that reads Helping hands are better than lego-building hands.
How is this not idolatry? I thought protestants especially had a big problem with any kind of idolatry, this being their main beef with catholics praying to saints and statues.

40 people spent 18 months doing this, and I just want to knock it over and watch the pieces scatter...
What a waste of time. And Legos.

I guess it's not idolatry unless they pray to the thing.
The Protestant church was filled to capacity with about 400 worshippers on Sunday when the statue went on display behind the altar[...]

Sounds like idolatry to me. Oh well, one more form of christian/religious hypocrisy shouldn't be the least bit surprising...
SEE!!!!!! I told you he was real. Why would people spend all that time building him if he wasn't real??? His Lego existence is proof in his real existence.

I just don't understand why it took so many people and so much time. I could just slap some hippie hair on a little lego knight and then use all the lego's to make one bad-ass castle with all sorts of armaments to keep out my space lego's.
I don't know why, but your comment reminded me of Poe's "Cask of Amontillado". I can imagine them bricking up some poor guy, or even Jebus himself, inside the lego statue...
Jesus: He died to be represented by small plastic blocks
