Atheist News Podcast Project

Hey guys.

I probably shouldn't put this off anymore, so I'm just going to jump on it and improvise. I'm pretty sure the show is over. It was a ton of fun doing it, but with work and my son and my wife in school I simply don't have time to do it anymore.

Other folks have offered to take over but I don't really feel comfortable with that. Quit while you're ahead, sez I.

Anyhow, I payed for another year of hosting, so the archive of podcasts will be available for at least that long.

I really enjoyed podcasting, so I might do something again in the future. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks guys and gals! It was AMAZING.

mm, PMing is for friends, this is obviously not the case here. It's an issue of badgering. And actually it's a good thing that it gets done in public because it shows what our members really stand for.

I second the Nerd, take your discussion to one-on-one messaging please.

TNT repeated the same thing three times, and you still don't get it?  When she says, "active women atheists," she means active/engaged on this site or in the community.  Zombie jesus, why is that so hard to understand?

Comment by TNT666 on May 26, 2011 at 12:40pm
wow, you maybe? Nobody converted me, I was delusion-free from the outset. I'll repeat, nasty debaters won't change the total number of female atheists, only the percentage of active ones who come here to socialise.
Comment by TNT666 on May 26, 2011 at 12:23pm
I didn't say 'just' atheists I said "active atheists". There is a debate ongoing about the lack of active women atheists... maybe you missed it?
Comment by TNT666 on May 26, 2011 at 11:24am
It's because you fail at reading. You're a perfect example of why there aren't more women active among atheists. You prefer putting women down and being insulting. So yes, continue your badgering and insults.

Bruce-TByte The student expressly wrote in his note that that is the study he is referring to. You are grasping at straws.

Nerd I have no idea what his real name is, I am simply referring to both avatars he has publicly used on this website.

Bruce Lindeman-TByte: You need to read the content at Rational Response.

Your first cited study is 111 people, that's all that needs to be said about that. Your second citation used the same bloody personal correspondence stats that I mentioned previously. Going to show how little that university values integrity...

The stats that supposedly demonstrate that .2% of atheists supposedly come from this 1997 document. Interestingly, there is no mention of religion in that exhaustive report...

This is what we know about where that .2% comes from:

"The data came from Denise Golumbaski, who was a Research Analyst for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. The data was compiled from up-to-the-day figures on March 5th, 1997. (Note that as of the year 1999, Analyst Golumbaski is no longer working for the Federal Bureau of Prisons; I had telephoned Analyst Golumbaski to request the latest figures, and was told by another analyst that Golumbaski was no longer employed there.) The data was requested by Mr. Rod Swift, who passed it on to me for my web site. I later called the Federal Bureau of Prisons and confirmed that the data did in fact come from their database."

So that student paper and other propagandists are basing their stats on hearsay and personal correspondence. There is simply no solid evidence to back up the claim that there are less atheists in prisons. And no, 111 interviewees does not constitute evidence.

You can continue to make personal attacks all you want, that don't change a thing about your being in error.

I’m really ticked off now…..BIG TIME!

Last night I expected all the “rapture”  yahoo’s to be gone.  All I expected to find was a bunch

of clothes, empty house, apartments, mobile homes and the like.  Cars just left on the street with the keys in them.

I had planned to go out looting. I was gonna clean up with the cash they left behind, their valuables, jewels, precious metals, silverware, electronics and the such.

I even had a SHOPPING LIST!

And I had a list of things my friends wanted…..  Of course, there were some prescription meds certain friends wanted me to get for them…. And some things that weren’t prescription as well….

It only goes to show you, you can’t trust these “rapture” clowns….

Sigh……..back to clipping coupons….
