Atheist News Podcast Project

Hey guys.

I probably shouldn't put this off anymore, so I'm just going to jump on it and improvise. I'm pretty sure the show is over. It was a ton of fun doing it, but with work and my son and my wife in school I simply don't have time to do it anymore.

Other folks have offered to take over but I don't really feel comfortable with that. Quit while you're ahead, sez I.

Anyhow, I payed for another year of hosting, so the archive of podcasts will be available for at least that long.

I really enjoyed podcasting, so I might do something again in the future. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks guys and gals! It was AMAZING.

Alert for Local Public Stations!
A program called "Birth of Freedom" was shown on a local public station last night. This is produced by both the Acton Institute and Coldwater Media (apparently connected to Focus on the Family) both of which use stealth evangelism to re-write history, sneak creationism into schools and propagate a capitalism/christian unity.
I urge freethinkers to contact their local stations and alert them to these evangelists. Here is what I wrote to two station managers:
My wife and I are regular viewers of KQED and other public stations in the Bay Area.
We were disturbed last evening to watch a program on KCSM and have alerted their producer about "Birth of Freedom," produced by Acton Media ( and Coldwater Media (see which is supported by groups like Focus on the Family.

We just wanted to make it known if you do not already know that these companies use "stealth evangelism" to paint American (and world) history with a sectarian religious brush, attack evolution by trying to sneak Creationism into public schools and create bias homeschooling materials to indoctrinate young minds. I was a minister for many years and know what these folks are doing. I feel it is important that public media sources be wise to these insidious agendas so as not to be duped by their tactics.

Thank you for the service you provide.

It aggravates me when people of faith drag the views of atheists down to their level.

In their minds, anything that isn't dripping with Jesus references is 'atheist'. Merely not mentioning religion is 'atheist'. This is why it's so hard to get through to some of them what 'secular' truly means.

In other news, are any of us really surprised that he's a lying douchebag?

And right back to the lies and cover-up. Wow. Wouldn't you think he would notice where this particular masseuse was advertising, as well as the insanely high prices being charged for extras?

Well, he just lost what little respect he had built up with me, when he came clean.

How can one "over-repent"? Massage gone wrong? How can a person accidentally have an affair?

Dick Cheney isn't heartless, he just chooses not to use it. Oh, and interesting how people all for natural death are also for becoming freaking pulseless cyborgs to stay alive. Just like Jesus intended!
Comment by Joseph P on July 21, 2010 at 2:13am
Well, if you've got one of these, you don't need to know what sort of condition your heart is in. You get one of these because your heart has pretty much given up on doing it's job. That's the point.
