Atheist News Podcast Project

Hey guys.

I probably shouldn't put this off anymore, so I'm just going to jump on it and improvise. I'm pretty sure the show is over. It was a ton of fun doing it, but with work and my son and my wife in school I simply don't have time to do it anymore.

Other folks have offered to take over but I don't really feel comfortable with that. Quit while you're ahead, sez I.

Anyhow, I payed for another year of hosting, so the archive of podcasts will be available for at least that long.

I really enjoyed podcasting, so I might do something again in the future. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks guys and gals! It was AMAZING.

Eh, we offend them simply by existing. It's just a matter of degrees. They slander us constantly. I say, screw it. Anything goes.

This article seems to be slanted against Atheist but it seems to me they are not prolonging life when there is no hope. I don't want a doctor who just wants to prolong suffering.

Atheist or agnostic doctors are almost twice as willing to make decisions that they think will quickly end the lives of terminally ill patients than doctors who are religious, new research suggests.

In fact, religious beliefs have a surprising effect on the end-of-life care doctors give their patients in general, according to the British study, which was published online in the Journal of Medical Ethics.

For example, doctors who consider themselves to be religious are twice as less likely to speak with patients about life-ending decisions than atheist or agnostic doctors.|main|dl3|sec3_lnk2|166695

Has anyone seen any reliable coverage of the supposed State Department plan to send six billion dollars overseas to rebuild or restore historic buildings, including several mosques? I can only find reference to it on the regular wingnut sites: AFA, WND, etc.

I agree. What does a book plug have to do with either news or the podcast?
Comment by John "Jack" Kolinski on August 26, 2010 at 7:49am
Hello everybody! My new book "How To Cure Religion (With No Adverse Side effects)" is available at and from Amazon Kindle. I hope some of you will read it and share your comments about it with me. It argues for a "Secular" "gods-free" world with a vengeance, BUT it is a very humorous vengeance (I know. "Consider the source.") It should be right up your alley and if you buy a print copy from blurb I'll autograph it for you for FREE! (I know. I am incredibly generous.) I hope you'll take a look at it. You can see the first thirty pages as a sample at If you like it, you can also go to, my website, and look at excerpts from "The Bible (According to Jack) Part I The Old Testament. " If I do say so myself (and I do!), it is a hoot and a holler! Kind regards.

Not that I don't like the babbling. I love the babbling. I just love how you throw out these statements that have no basis in reality.

I love the show, but for a "news" podcast, you guys sure spend a lot of time talking out of your asses. Christopher Columbus is no longer a Catholic Saint? There was an effort in the mid 1800's to try to get him sainthood, but it went nowhere.
Comment by Joe Tomberlin on August 21, 2010 at 1:45pm
That's hilarious. Obviously a bunch of godless (ex)commies. What better excuse for sitting around drinking wine out of coffee cups and making fliers to post around town. Given the trend of xtians to proselytize in the formerly god-free soviet regions, I'm all for the silly cartoon worshipers.

I did a search but couldn't find anything here about the Russian Cult that seems to worship Gadget Hackwrench from Chip N' Dale's Rescue Rangers. Anyone know if this is a hoax?

Oh, that Goad page is awesome. I'm bookmarking it in hope of many boring workdays to come.
