I haven't seen too much craziness this year. At least, no more than the usual.

Talking about Halloween, can anyone tell me if the religious nuts were creating as much fuss over Halloween last year as they are this year? I don't recall hearing anything about evil witchery and casting spells over sweeties.

Well then happy Beltaine to all those down-under!

Thanks Jo, I am an Aussie and we celebrated Beltaine last night! What a wonderful world we live in.

Happy Samhain! May we all enjoy a cozy Winter, fruitful Spring, productive Summer and bountiful Fall!

Or if you're an Aussie, just reverse those a little. :-P

I understand what you are saying and agree.
And thanks for the tip!

...If any of what I just said makes sense. It's late - I should be asleep!

Hi Steve...

My method for correcting typos in comments I just posted is to delete and start over. ;-)

And yes, I get what you mean. We imagine life in all of nature and even though we fully understand that much of that is our imagination*, it places an importance on nature and conditions us to treat it a little nicer.

(*"Much of that" is imagination. It's all 'alive,' But we humans find more entertainment and greater ease in picturing a Green Man than in trying to picture a correct atomic/chemical composition of a tree).

PS. I wish there was a method for editing typos after posting !!!

Just a quick 'Hello'. I recently joined Atheist Nexus and a comment from The Nerd alerted me to your group. I think am not a pagan but have always felt an affiliation with the ancient rituals which simply paid respects to mother earth, the sun, moon and universe at various times of the year. I feel that showing a respect for the universe, especially this place we call home, builds respect in oneself and for thing people and things around us. I have little respect for the religions which 'stole' the pagan holidays and I would like to see us claim them back so we can use these special occasions for rejoicing in life and the world about us. Do I fit in here?
