I just listened to this very interesting radio broadcast on CBC Radio One studying the various impacts of testosterone on our personalities. What made this episode of This American Life original was that it looked at various case studies of people (men and women) who'd gone through different testosterone levels and how the changes had affected their personalities. The employees of the radio show, both males (1 gay) and females (1 domineering) all took testosterone tests and they attempted to guess who had the highest levels, according to what science knows about testosterone's effects. They guessed right for the women... the most domineering one had the highest level. As for the males, they mostly got it right... except the gay guy came out ahead of everyone.
Listen to it here, in three parts... Food for thought.
