Whether you're a professional, a student, an amateur, an enthusiast, whatever! Lots of atheists love science. Might as well have a group for it!

Feel free to nerd out, link articles, talk about your favorite field of research, whatever!

I've been super busy with school this semester -- no time for Atheist Nexus, sadly!!
If anyone who's around here a lot wants me to toss them moderation privileges to run this group or anything, just send me (Sara) a message! Thanks!

Removed ability to send mass messages to everyone in the group. At 1000+ members, that seems like asking for spam.

Offer still open if anyone active in the group wants moderation privileges, but it appears everything has been going smoothly with all kinds of great discussions without moderation. Fantastic! :)

That reminds me of when I worked at the Spokane Eye Clinic in 1961, my first day on the job I went to the frig to put my lunch in and there in a cup was an eyeball. I threw up.

For anyone still in the dark about Bradley Manning.

Bradley Manning's still a Good ol' Girl.

And what, you might well ask, is an atheist doing interpreting the NT?

I like to embarrass xians, and to those who insist on praying in public I hurl Matthew 6 6 at them.

Unfortunately, most of the xians I know are skilled cherry-pickers; they ignore both Matthew and me.

D R and Idaho, I agree that religious indoctrination is child abuse by religious bullies, but in NT times the word "suffer" could mean what it means now (and I would agree with your "Suffer not....") or it could mean "allow".

The "Suffer the little children to come unto me,...." in Mark 10 14(King James Version) meant "Allow the little children to come unto me...."
