Whether you're a professional, a student, an amateur, an enthusiast, whatever! Lots of atheists love science. Might as well have a group for it!

Feel free to nerd out, link articles, talk about your favorite field of research, whatever!

I've been super busy with school this semester -- no time for Atheist Nexus, sadly!!
If anyone who's around here a lot wants me to toss them moderation privileges to run this group or anything, just send me (Sara) a message! Thanks!

Removed ability to send mass messages to everyone in the group. At 1000+ members, that seems like asking for spam.

Offer still open if anyone active in the group wants moderation privileges, but it appears everything has been going smoothly with all kinds of great discussions without moderation. Fantastic! :)

science is up against quite the threat; one educated human at a time is all it takes

Hey all -- thought you might like to see this new show.

The Discovery Channel is hosting a new program, Curiosity, that aims to provoke thought and discussion and ask the “fundamental questions facing the world today”. Their first episode (Sunday Aug. 7th, 8 p.m. ET/PT) will be a special with the eminent Stephen Hawking titled, “Is There a Creator?”

I could not be happier by the recent Texas Board of Education decision.  My "faith" in the process has been restored a little.

I'm from Texas and I was glad that the Board of Education in Texas didn't cave into the demands of the religious and chose to teach evolution instead of adding intelligent design to the textbooks.

I have actually never heard of Mole Day! As an engineering student, I am absolutely dorky enough to know of Pi Day, although I have never participated in any actual festivities.

Seriously people, the religionists are now winning!  Vote for Option 3, and keep Ohio from having a election day voting sticker that calls upon God!

Valid Ohio zip codes are 45044, 45069, 45014, 45424, 45365...
