The sad thing is most Blacks don't realize that, it has been the CHURCH that has oppressed them more, and even today it is the case.. In terms of govt oppression there is much we can do to combat that but this church for some reason preaches to turn the other cheek... That has got to stop, rebel, become angry, ACT!

Christians are amongst the biggest hypocrites of all time.. All it takes, is for a African American to look at his status in the world to realize that this notion of a God is surely nothing more than a JOKE!

Gradually I am becoming more faithfull to this type of movement. I realize that because the black race was the last to be christianized we are way behind in collective critical thinking. I think people like us are laying the foundation for a massive network in the future. Believe me one day the church will be force to confess to slavery.

Good thoughts onthe critical thinking Blind Dog -- and I totally agreed that it needs to be taught at the grade school level. What's your instrument? I'm a bassist/guitarist ;)

When I was in high school some decades ago, instruction of critical thinking was limited to analyzing the appeal of TV commercials, Such instruction, however, was imparted far more successfully by Mad Magazine. Even during a time of social upheaval, when liberalism was the dominant mode, critical thinking was inculcated on a very limited basis. Education exists primarily on the basis of social control, not so much for responsible participatory democracy, and not at all for radical change.

critcal thinking receives too much "criticism" to ever take a foothold in this country where it is needed so badly. I believe it should be taught in grade school and at least until high school graduation.

Very unfortunately , the instruction of critical thinking , is not a part of US adolescent pedagogy .
