Hello all, I live in Napa and would like to get together with other atheists casually to talk, or go to Atheist/skeptics meetings. I used to live in a small town in NE Oregon and managed to find five, or six atheists within a 45 minute drive. We used to meet every couple of months for lunch and all went to Portland to a Humanist sponsored series of lectures and seminars. That was around 1998 and they didn't have the fortitude to call it an Atheist get together. It was sponsored by several free-thinking groups who put together some good seminars and lectures. I learned a lot and met some neat people there. The county I lived in only had 35K people in it. If we could pull five people together for Atheist lunches up there, it should be easy to do here.
Please let me know if you find out about any freethought, skeptic, humanist, atheist, or etc. meetings.
Orange County Checking in.
I just joined up with 'ilivetodayav' and started a local group called Good without God(s) in the AV. Please join me in here and help me expose the AV to the benefits of freethought and a rational world view as well as assert and protect our secular nations founding protections of and from religion... <3

I am in alameda and have had a cold reception about it.
get or make an atheist tshirt and walk around with it. see what kind of reactions you get. in a coffee shop openly read the DAWKs book "god delusion".
just come out publicly and others may have the same courage.
dont be afraid to have conversations and make them audible to those around you.
you gota come out publicly or your views will mean nothing.
