I have to agree that Bakersfield is the hotspot for California conservatives. Not only that but, I think we've got all of the crazy ones too...

Sorry guys but Bakersfield is the conservative bastion of choice. The only liberal-esque people here are the pagans who I have to say seem to do less critical thinking then most of the christians i meet. That and we get all the major republican events. San Diego is an amazing place comparatively =P though i now live in Davis.

Jamul, east of San Diego. I dunno about Escondido, but that is a bastion of conservative "family values". My fellow residents of California's 52nd District liked our conservative republican congressional representative so damn much that they voted for his son. We've got three churches that I know about and one Christian brainwash facility summer camp. The latter is where I have to go when I vote!

It's not so bad, though, being a godless San Diegan. I think we have a creationist museum, but there are a few atheist/freethinker/humanist groups. Plus, we've got a very nice natural history museum.

Escondido. North of San Diego. Bastion of "conservative family values" and illegal immigrant-bashing. hoo ray.
