Hey folks, know it's been a while since our last episode, but we'll be releasing two very close together over the next week and a half or so, then be back on schedule, we're lining up some great guests as well, so there's lots to look forward to. Hopefully this cold & flu season is past us!

Chris P: "The last couple months were terribly boring, and pretty much all I did was listen to Chariots of Iron and Atheist News for 15 hours a day while playing The Elder Scrolls."

RAmen, brother! Do you use mods at all, or are you playing the original game? Even vanilla Oblivion inspires chronic late nights, but I promise you that after a coupla weeks with a few choice mods you'll end up looking like a Z-Fu prop for sure ;)

I've downloaded all the Chariots of Iron that's available (just under 2GB), 3GB of The Atheist Experience (2008+2009), 3GB of The Non-Prophets, and a few gig of other great shows (Skeptic's Guide to the Universe, Atheist News, and Freethought Radio, among others)... I've already powered through TAE/NPR and only have 5 more CoI episodes to go before I'm up to speed :) I don't know how you can listen to podcasts while playing Oblivion though, a big part of the appeal for me is sneaking through dungeons and then having the poop scared out of me by something jumping at me from the darkness :D (and with mods you can have real darkness in interiors, not like the original)

I think I'm safe enough talking about nerdy stuff here, right? :P

So, guys... for the 50th episode, are you going to offer commemorative busts of Lamar facepalming, vein and all? :D

I just joined atheistnexus and wanted to say thanks for having such an awesome show. For some reason I have a fascination with religion, and especially with its debunking. I guess it's like when you want to know how the magician does his tricks, and once you know, it makes it that much better. I just got back from Iraq, and thank Flying-Spaghetti-Monster for your two shows. The last couple months were terribly boring, and pretty much all I did was listen to Chariots of Iron and Atheist News for 15 hours a day while playing The Elder Scrolls. Keep up the good work.

@Philip Tillsley: Thanks for the help, but I had already gone to Wikipedia before making my reply. As I'm sure you're aware, the article is brief and the external link section has little to offer. Since Matthew ran across Carvakan philosophy while doing his homework, I thought he may have access to material of an academic nature.

@Matthew Boone: We don't have a morals without authority episode yet, but it does sound like a good one to cover. Right now we're playing with format ideas so that we don't always sound like three idiots preaching the anti-gospel. Once we get it figured out, I think you'll see a lot subjects we've wanted to cover finally make it onto the show.

@Sandy: That graphic is clever as hell.

Brilliant isn't it? I pinched it off a discussion forum on another website -- someone was using it as his avatar. If you like it, I think you can just copy it from here.
