Hi fellow atheists and Coloradoans!
I was sondering if there are any of you out there who would be interested in doing charitable works in the name of secularism? Are any of you already doing that in your community? And have you heard of the Secular Center?

Hello all. New to this group. I love nexus! Nice to see others in this state. I live in Pueblo. Needless to say, I am a minority here.

Lol, Asa. They came up with the name "Trinity" to represent their 3 most valued principles in their business. I think the closest they get to a religiously inspired name for a brew is "Soul Horkey." It's awesome, too! The entire brewery was built from recycled materials. Some of the more interesting names are: "Passed Stout," "Slap Your Mammy," "Libidinous," and "Emperor Wears No Clothes." The people that own and work the place are really nice. I would haunt the place more if I lived closer.

Well, I've been to Trinity and Bristol, but most often I end up at Rock Bottom simply because of its location. I know it's a corporate place and it's kind of a violation of my principals to go there, but on the bright side, they have their own brewmaster, who gets to make his own decisions, so it's not like they are working off of corporate recipes or something. I'm pretty sure that Drinking Skeptically is meeting there this coming Wednesday. Plus they have a second happy hour (22:00-close) that coincides well with the times I would go watch a movie next door. They've never been able to top the Russian Imperial Stout they brewed last winter.

Yes, I think that is the name of the brew pub I was thinking of.
In Colorado Springs, of all places, a brew pub on Garden of the Gods Road, with a name like "Trinity", they must brew something like "God's own Ale" Or maybe a "Jesus Stout". Wow, the naming ideas just keep on coming. No sleep tonight.

Trinity is pretty cool. (no affiliation with dad, son, or ghost)
That's probably the one you're talking about Asa. Great menu, too (especially if you're a Veg, like me).

What brewpub do you like the best in the Springs?
I have not been to the "newish" one out on Garden of the "Gods" road.
I like Il Vachino's (spelling?) pale ale about as much as anything I've drunk in C. Springs.

Wow, no updates in a long time! Easter is coming. How are you guys going to not celebrate the reselection of Jesus? I'm going to spend my time worshiping the great candy-bringing rabbit. ;) And maybe I'll stop by the local brewpub and see if they have any special Easter beers.
