Well, i googled "conservative atheist forum", and this group was the first result. I'm glad to see it. I stay out of some topics, because i feel unwelcome. I guess i wasn't in the mood for a fight, so i just move on. I've never heard of S.E. Cupp (conservative atheist, i think), but there's a topic about her, and posters think she's a fraud, and not an atheist; an automatic pile on. It's just disappointing to experience this attitude among atheists.

I would love to hear what you have to say. You are not unwelcome here. Many of us on the site have both conservative and liberal views depending on the topic. (for example: like fiscal conservative and socially liberal)
Well I just wanted to give you some encouragement to post what you feel like saying.

""(for example: like fiscal conservative and socially liberal)"" - This is me, mostly. I guess the point i was trying to make was that the feeling of coming out atheist feels the same as coming out conservative on here:)

Don't get discouraged. For years I was the only Atheist conservative on the sites I visited. At times even polite disagreement would get venomous responses.

But then I would find one and occasionally two other conservative Atheists on some sites. Then I found sites like this with forums for conservative Atheists.

My politics are conservative on economic and national security issues, moderate with a libertarian influence on social issues. For example I am pro-life, but I also support same-sex marriage. Even among conservative Atheists you'll find a great diversity of opinions.

I would agree with you.

From what little I know of S.E. Cupp, she seems like a wonderful person; I wish I could someone like that who wasn't across the continent.
