That is funny. I've always wondered what is "American food?" Since we basically borrow from everyone else.
I was surprised to learn just a few weeks ago in Anthropology class that apparently, peanut butter is to the UK what vegemite is to us Yanks: Anywhere from distasteful to downright disgusting. And to put it together with jelly, even worse.
That shows that Brits know nothing about good food. Everyone knows that peanut butter is heaven. Especially crunchy.
I'm with ya on that. I can think of few things more heavenly than peanut butter on hot toast!
Peanut butter in Anthropology class?
Came up when discussing differences in food tastes and customs from culture to culture. What one culture thinks is delicious, another can't even fathom thinking of it as food. (As I protectively pet my cats...)
