I have re-begunneth my knitting. I've taught myself almost everything except the basic stitch--currently I'm working on a cowl using leftover yarn from a blanket project. Trying to use up my rough acrylic yarn on practice pieces so I have an excuse to get some wool or nicer stuff.

Anyone else lust after project bags with abandon? I do: *drool* I actually made several project-holder bags lately--just to keep my yarn from being destroyed by the cat--the little monster will actually -eat- any yarn bits I don't hide from him.

There's an atheist group on ravelry, fyi, for crotcheters/knitters. I joined it and started a thread devoted to atheist/freethought-esque projects--since I was curious about what existed out there.

Right now I am limited on my crafting, mostly sewing..hoping to start up my knitting and other art forms over the winter when stuck in the house more :)

My wife and I both make jewelry. Mostly twisted wire, beads and some polymer clay. I also make candles, tumbled glass art, calligraphy. I'll try most anything. I can sew a little with a machine.

I do make jewelry too. But I'm a real amateur. I also crochet, knit and sew.

I got so excited when I found this group!  Finally a group of like-minded artsy fartsy people!  lol.  I make jewelry in my spare time.  Any other jewelry artists out there?

I'm a fiber arts instructor, yarn spindle maker, and woodturning enthusiast who is very happy to see this group exists!

Alayna, it is a beautiful piece! Thank you for describing the process...I think that is something I may try some time.

I added you, Linda, thank you! :)

Alayna, I love the floorcloth!  How did you create that??

FB takes up way too much of my time :P

LadyBlue, I sent a friend request on Ravelry & Diana, I wasn't able to find you with the screen name you posted.  Add me, if you'd like :)

I just taught myself to crochet a couple of years ago.  I could NOT get the hang of it as a child, in spite of my mother and two older sisters who were avid crocheters.  A friend taught me to knit about 12 years ago, but I didn't keep up with that.  I also like counted cross stitch and sewing clothes.  Looking forward to making cute outfits for my future granddaughter, after making lots of boys clothes for my two grown sons :)
