What exactly do you mean by clean energy? Sorry, I just feel like an ass today... I agree that biofuels are a much better alternative to gasoline, but they are far from clean... As of right now, I know everyone is talking about the possibility of using bacteria or yeast someday to create ethanol, but right now, the most popular method seems to be enzymatic pyrolysis... far from clean... anyway, just had to make that point. It is an improvement... When will we be able to invent some kind of heat resistant transformer coil that will allow us to turn truly clean wind and solar into high enough levels of heat radiation to replace the modern technology of burning things??? Not only is it pollutant and wasteful, but it just seems barbaric. IMnsHO...

Just finished watching home. Saying that I am deeply moved and even more deeply depressed does not do that effort justice.
I will have to sleep on it and write a more detailed debriefing of my emotions and needed actions.

One thing is for sure, every human on earth would benefit from seeing it.

What also amazes me is that Mr.Vujicic is extremely religious and thanks this god of his...I don't know to cry or scream about it.

Still, I thank you for posting the video Dallas, still motivational even if he is delusional.

I like to think there's a difference between being "doom and gloom" and wearing a "tinfoil hat."

Personally, I don't see how an economy based on continuous growth can ever not continually consume. It's like inflating a blowup doll inside an iron maiden.

Human population levels continue to skyrocket while we're going through the worst period of mass extinctions since the dinosaurs. Our expansion is rather rapidly turning the global biosphere into a global homosphere. Is it really that far fetched that one day it will just be us and our food?

A reading of Genesis will clearly show that religion is at least partially what is enabling this self-destructive behaviour. "Go forth and multiply" it says, and so we have. Religion is how we can have nutcases like Rep. John Shimkus who basically says global warming can't be true because God says in the Bible the earth won't be destroyed by a flood. Since God doesn't lie, global warming obviously isn't a problem. See for yourself:
