Hello everybody. I just made another group called Transylvanian Atheists. If some of you like, you can join that group too.

Another small step. I've just read that the European Court of Human Rights has agreed with an Italian mother than the display of crucifixes in Italian classrooms violates the right of religious freedom in general and her right to raise her child in a secular way.

Well done that woman!

@Szekularis Figyelo: could I find an English version of that article? Normally, I could use this site to translate the whole page (copy/paste the link) but it is not working so I had to translate fragment by fragment and the translation is not good.

Ih Hungary, a right wing magazine has just called their readers to form small groups and steal any leftist, liberal and ungodly literature out of public libraries.

Hello from America - I understand (unlike the people actually FROM America) that Europe isn't in the United States. I'm a Scottish ex-pat trying to muck through the deep south.

For Germans: Kardinal Meisner has been invited by the Hungarian catholic church to the big mass in front of the "Bazilika" in Budapest on 20 August, held on National Day, where we celebrate the foundation of the Hungarian state (then kingdom) by Saint Stephen (not the martyr, this is another one) in 1000. I know about the conservativism of he catholic church here, but I'm still a bit apalled...

Mental gymnastics to reconcile the stories in the Bible with...

Ouch! That's a mean way to dislocate at least a few millions of your precious neurons. Glad you recovered from the damage.
