Human soul

I've heard many so called atheists refer to the "soul" as if it actually existed.  My question is:  If you believe humans have a soul are you really an atheist? Continue

I donate a little to the FFRF, and have a question that I've been reluctant to ask here.

Whenever I watch a video from the FFRF, I cringe because the participance are so stilted in their speech.  I haven't watched their latest ones because of this.

I hope they do better in their court presentations than in their videos.

What are your thoughts on the subject?

I'm an FFRF member as well, and while we have had some local issues around northeast Ohio, the activity we see is likely nothing like what is to be found in the bible belt, where Christianity has a tendency to run rampant in public schools and local government.

I may see about logging the activities of the Northern Ohio Freethought Society (NOFS) here more often in the future.

A.T., this group is no different from so many other groups that languish from inactivity. Furthermore, I'm guessing only 5% of our members actively participate at A/N.

I'm an FFRF member, so I'm partially guilty of skipping over this group. Feel free to jump in!

Why is there no action in this group since Nov. 2017? Is there nothing regarding the FFRF since then?

Donald, that's a nice gesture to offer your help.  I want to make sure you're aware of the "How To Do It" group that Loren started.  Technical issues are discussed there.  You might be a valuable resource there.

Randall--I thought it would be selfish not to make the offer but I understand. Anytime you need help with small things feel free to hit me up.

Donald, I appreciate your offer. But, you see, I'm a minimalist. Less is better. I get by with what little I can do: email, google stuff, check out a couple blog sites, order from Amazon, etc. Simple is my middle name. I get help from my daughter when needed. Thanks anyway.

Randall--I started teaching basic computer skills before there were browsers. I could put together a step by step of key processes you can use everyday.

Yes, thanks, Carl. I've never mastered the very basics of computer use. "Cut and paste" are beyond my abilities despite being prompted several times.
