Have fun fishing, Daniel. Maybe you could share a picture of cooking one of your catches.

Despite my dad and especially grandfather's love of fishing, I never got into it. It's difficult for me to sit still.
But I'm glad, Daniel, you plan to do much fishing when you retire--in 5 months!!!

Took a nice long (10 mi) hike yesterday. Drove only 10 miles to visit a covered bridge. Then I walked (with my dog) along and around a river to another bridge and back, on country roads. Hardly any traffic, so no problem. Also took in a restored flour mill from the mid 1800s. Gorgeous day for a hike.

Congratulations, Greg. While I greatly appreciate your accomplishments, I must admit I'm a landlubber.

Hi, all.  I got scuba certified last June after wanting to do it for several years.  Have done 21 logged dives since and have gotten my advanced adventure certification.  Just 4 more dives to get my advanced certification.  I see than Dan dives also.  Anyone else in the group that likes to get wet and get deep?

Almost all wilderness is already gone, according to a new study. If you who love wilderness, prepare for a shock.

Shrinking habitats have adverse effects on world ecosystems

... Nearly 20 percent of the world's remaining forest is the distance of a football field -- or about 100 meters -- away from a forest edge. Seventy percent of forest lands are within a half-mile of a forest edge. That means almost no forest can really be considered wilderness."

Hey Randall - good to meet another who likes to hike.

Wow--It's been over a year since anybody posted here. I don't fish, but I love to hike. I usually walk 5-10 miles a day. I count that as "hiking".
