OH! BUMMER! Here is a photo from Stock - my photos are better! I cut the greens from the ribs. The greens go in a pot with a dollop of butter, some homemade chicken stock, salt, and pepper. The ribs go into the kitchen compost bucket to be emptied into the garden compost by Dominic and me tomorrow. He loves that daily task. He makes a deep sound in his throat as he waits for me to put on my shoes, a jacket, get the keys, and compost bucket. It is almost like a dog purr.

Joan, "Your file is not found" is the result I get for your photos.  :(

Well, it worked for me. I copied the address and posted it on my search engine.

So many times, when I have an update, I have to learn how to do old, familiar tasks a new way. Sorry, I am experimenting with you.

Not click-able, Joan.

I cooked Lacinato Kale from the greenhouse tonight. We all like it because it has a lot of flavor and is not overpowering. I tried to get a photo to you and this is the only way I could find to accomplish that task. I hope it works.

With you there, Randy. Mince pie is waaaaaaay too sweet for me.

I hate raisins too.

Oh yuck--mince pie! I always hated it. Both grandmothers would bake one.
As a coincidence, yesterday for the first time ever, I had some raisins and dried cranberries as a snack. Just a hint of sweetness. Pretty good.

I've decided not to have fowl of any kind for Thanksgiving. Instead, I'm having a freezer ham. Not traditional, but with sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, etc., it'll be marvelous, simply marvelous!

I just vaugly remember mince pie.  I think I liked it.

I'm doing nothing special for Thanksgiving day.  I'm going shopping before then and will probably get another pumpkin pie and some more of what I'm eating right now: pumpkin pie ice cream.  Yum!

Randy, for me the Thanksgiving dinner is about the fixin's - punkin pie, yeast rolls, dressing, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole.  I need to do some grocery shopping Monday morning.

This talk about raisins reminds me about mince pie.  I wonder if I can find the recipe.  Black and golden raisins, orange, including spices, and I forget what else.  It was a recipe in Vegetarian Times in the 70s or 80s.  Love that pie, if I havent lost the recipe!
