Latest Activity: yesterday
Thanks for the video. I've heard before that cattle produce more harmful gases than all the vehicles in the world. Vegetarians, unite!
PS: I had a grilled cheese sandwich yesterday!
Video from Vox with some interesting stats on food and climate. It's been said before, but the Mediterranean diet is the way to go for both health and environment. Vegetarians are already doing their part.
Being a lover of hot sauces, I never tried it on grilled cheeses. Thanks for the idea....
I butter the pan too, Carl. Grilled cheese & tomato soup.....comfort food.
Roasting vegetables are really a great way to prepare them. Brings out all the flavor.
I wanted to chime in on grilled cheese. I always use butter and I don't butter the bread. I melt the butter in the pan, sprinkle some hot sauce, and then add the sandwich. When I flip it I add a little more butter. From what I've read here, it seems everybody likes grilled cheese sandwiches. For me it's a nice "comfort" food.
I fell off the "healthy food wagon" yesterday by eating at a Chinese restaurant, buffet style. I'd finished my fasting for a blood test and stuffed myself (at noon) with all sorts of "bad" food.
Back to the good stuff today. That includes more B sprouts, still fresh in my garden. Another way to prepare them, Daniel. As if I don't already have a bazillion sprout recipes! And so many people hate them. Pity the fools.
"Happy Fifth Anniversary Daniel and Ning!" ??
What is the occasion?
Your recipe sounds like one of the menu I bake. This is the cookbook I have and use:
"Sheet Pan Suppers: 120 Recipes for Simple, Surprising, Hands-Off Meals Straight from the Oven" Molly Gilbert
There are other cookbooks like the one I have.
The other benefit of this sheet-pan baking is that the oven warms up the house :)
Daniel, your recipe for roasted vegetables makes my mouth water.
I'll serve that tomorrow night.
Reading of you taking Charlie for a "walk" in the wagon delights me!
I serve plenty of fruit & vegetables, & I do not salt or sweeten any of them. If I do stir fry, I use minimum butter or oils.
