Sounds good, Patricia. I forgot that I also made stuffing. The game hen needed more than the recommended 1 hour to cook through.
Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, peas, onions, & mushrooms. De-alcaholized wine.
Apple cinnamon cheesecake for later.
On the Christmas menu is a Cornish game hen, a succotash casserole, mashed potatoes, salad and fruit, and pear cake. Yours?
By the way, I've just finished dehydrating pears into chips. Also made pearsauce for the freezer. I had a lot pears this year and they've kept right up to the present.

I don't have a sweet tooth, but I do like the flavour of an occasional molasses cookie.
Hip recovery is going well, so am able to do a bit more all the time.
Hmmmm.....maybe I should make some molasses cookies....
I just returned from my former middle school--their annual Christmas breakfast which welcomes retirees to partake. Saw many old friends. About the food: I was surprised at how good (and much) it was! Bacon and eggs, biscuits and gravy, tangerine slices, a blueberry muffin-cake, and drinks. Very impressive. Probable cause is the holiday. I can't imagine the food is that good every day.
Daniel, I assume you store molasses at room temperature. Correct? I just bought some after many years of not eating it. I put it in the refrigerator, and when I went to use it, it took forever to get any out. What's that saying? Slow as molasses in January.
Daniel, frozen rhubarb. Nothing in the garden now.
