From Adriana on Atheist Universe:
That's interesting, because the guy is actually not a woman; he is intersex; he fathered children so he is a functional male, too. He is both male and female.
Friends, I just created a petition: Governors State University Student Senate: Create a Gender Free Restroom at GSU, because I care deeply about this very important issue. I'm trying to collect 100 signatures, and I could really use your help. To read more about what I'm trying to do and to sign my petition, click here:http://www.change.org/petitions/governors-state-university-student-... It'll just take a minute! Once you're done, please ask your friends to sign the petition as well. Grassroots movements succeed because people like you are willing to spread the word!
DG, there must be more to the story. It's amazing and wonderful that she has learned her identity, and her family supports her, and she has closure on past trauma. On the other hand..... the biological details? Is she the bio father of her children? Then how is she biologically a woman? No menses? And producing sperm / having intercourse (maybe). I'm confused. Not meaning to pry but it's hard for me to picture this biologically. There are many kinds of intersex conditions. Im thinking maybe persistant mullerian duct syndrome. "
presence of a uterus may be noticed if an ultrasound or MRI of the pelvis is performed to locate the testes or for other reasons. Occasionally the uterus is discovered during abdominal surgery for some other purpose in later childhood or adult life.
Although persistent Müllerian duct syndrome is classified as an intersex condition, it does not involve ambiguity or malformation of the external genitalia, which appear typically male (apart from cryptorchidism if present)."
Sandi, the facebook page is right.
Rinse and repeat:
Nom nom nom nom nom....... sigh!
So, here is one of mine:
You know I don't really come to this page for support, I actually come for the awesome pics of hot guys you post - Thank you ;-)
I suddenly have a taste for curry.
Thanks for the laugh, Sentient Biped.
