The Boy Scouts of America ended their ban on gay scouts today. But not on gay leaders. And not on nontheist scouts.
They got a lot of pressure from multiple directions. I think that helped.
Now for the rest of their bigoted policies.....
I'm with you Chrissie, Dallas, and Daniel. If an anti-gay supporter wants to be a selfless martyr and end their life over two people loving each other, then let them kindly proceed, as long as they don't take any innocent victims with them. I will save my mourning for the true victims of anti-gay hate.....those LGBTQI individuals who have been murdered, beaten, bullied and/or themselves driven to suicide.
Thanks Dallas and Chrissie. The video is very moving. I hope DOMA dies soon.
Thanks Dallas, I am a long time ago Vet. Korea & Nam. but I am a member of OutServe the Gay Mlitary Org. and this video came through them. This old world still has a long way to go.
Sorry about that, Google Charlie and Karen a military love story and it will come up. don't know why the link would not work.
The marriage equality issue seems to have brought out a seamy underside of intolerance in France. Not that I should be surprised - intolerance is everywhere, some places more than others. The US is no exception, with a majority of states having institutionalized inequality into their constitutions.
Still if he is so upset, that a couple of LGBTI people who love one another and support one another can marry and raise children with love and support, that he puts a bullet through his brain, I don't feel bad about the so-called loss.
I feel more sorrow for people such as these girls than I do for those biggots. Watch.
know it's a bit sad but I hope he is the first Leming. Of course it would work out much less gory if they found a cliff to use.
French far-right activist man commits suicide at Notre Dame cathedral to protest against marriage equality.
I thought suicide was a mortal sin?
All I can think is, he's saying "I'll show them!"
A beautiful smack in the gob for the offensive French Catholics. They have for years had the opinion that France had to cater to their every whim. As a Limey I don't have a very high opinion of the Froggies but with this move they have jumped a long way up in my opinion. It appears that the European Common Market has for the first time in history made a positive move but of course by accident.
England has only ever been a half way participant it the EEC folly and if they would drop out it would almost be a good moove to go home, but of course I could never afford to live there. Oh well I guess I am stuck in the Bible Belt. Could be worse.
It's a breath of fresh air that the NYC Cops have decided that that was a hate crime. With the reports they had no other opton.
