Marriage Equality Passes Australia’s Parliament in Landslide
Gay man denied marriage license to run against Kim Davis
Deedle de de de dee, two Josephs
You know the nice thing about civil marriage? NO RELIGION REQUIRED!!! The priests, rabbis, and imams can go scratch glass for all I care! And if some gay or Lesbian couple are so deranged as to want to have their union solemnized by one such of the aforementioned, they deserve what they get for their ignorance and/or naivete. Sorry, Daniel, but in the face of such stupidity, I have no empathy, not when what they want to cling to is the very thing that is trying to destroy them.
Of course! under-age girls! How silly of me!
Comment by Joan Denoo:
I wonder if Judge Roy has sex with donkeys? His morals fit the question.
Joan, I think Roy Moore would much rather have sex with under-aged girls than with a Democrat. :)
“Have You Considered Your Parents’ Happiness?”Conversion Therapy Ag...
"Homosexuality is neither a crime nor officially regarded as an illness in China. For decades, the legal status of consensual same-sex activity between men was ambiguous, but that was cleared up in the revised criminal code of 1997. In 2001, the Chinese Society of Psychiatry removed homosexuality from its list of mental disorders. This is consistent with the consensus of global medical associations that homosexuality is not a medical condition."
However! There is always a however!
"public hospitals and private clinics in China continue to offer so-called 'conversion therapy,' which aims to change an individual’s sexual orientation from homosexual or bisexual to heterosexual, based on the false assumption that homosexuality is a disorder that needs to be remedied. "
"Chinese authorities have not taken the necessary steps to stop public hospitals or private clinics from offering conversion therapy."
Does anyone know what the cost of "conversion therapy?" I didn't find figures in a quick glance at the references. Certainly, a profit motive must be involved in the continuing practice.
Daniel, I hate to say it, but I agree on the Roy Moore issue. There are enough bigoted Alabama voters out there to put him in the Senate. The question becomes: what do Mitch McConnell & Co. do with him when he gets there? They've already come out in opposition to his candidacy. Is that all talk, or is there something in the chamber besides gunpowder?
