Sadly the Mor(m)ons are still trying to defend what they did and to what extent they did it. And even though divorce is forbidden far more often in the Bible than is homosexuality, you'll never see any of the "Pro-family" groups clamoring for constitutional amendments banning divorce. Still they insist they're not anti-gay, just "defending traditional marriage".

Denial is not just a river in Egypt.

Yes, Goz, the Mormons may have violated election and tax-exemption rules to help get Prop 8 passed. Remember, these people would not allow African-Americans into their church until very recently, and their homophobia is legendary. Their religion tends to focus on "family" much as do evangelicals, at least in their PAC nomenclature in the latter case. No one bothered to tell them that half of the marriages of heterosexuals in the U.S. end in divorce court (let me give you my business card), and that almost all families are dysfunctional to some extent. The other culprits in Prop 8 proselytization were the evangelical bigot groups like Tony Perkins' Focus on Family. (No, not THAT Tony Perkins: this one is only doing what he does to distance himself from the bisexual actor.) I don't mind them focusing on family. I just wish they wouldn't focus on mine.

I can't afford the Sundance Channel. Is it as good as "The God Who Wasn't There"?

Has anyone been looking at "For the Bible Tells Me So", airing on the Sundance Channel over the weekend? fascinating.

All right dammit! I'll admit, i'm very much a bisexual. I might lose some friends because of this (at least that's what i fear), but hopefully i will get more because of my honesty.

We'll see...

I don't know about all that, I've been on the wagon for 15 years.

PLEA FOR HELP! Lover is an addict. It started with God of War...and then Lara Croft paid us a visit. Now he's hooked on the hard junk: WORLD OF WARCRAFT. Need to find a way out...I feel like I am surrounded by cartoons everywhere- there are no real people, just Batman, Spiderman, X-men, and Jesus...
