A friend of mine had a good idea.  Carry slips of paper with you to drop into Salvation Army Kettles, which explain why you are not donating.
I thought of these four as a sample of what you could write.  Use one or all four, or one of your own.
Why I Will Not Donate to the Salvation Army:
1. When my dad was on the docks loading up to board a ship to to fight a war in Korea, Goodwill was out there giving soldiers cups of coffee. The Salvation Army was out there SELLING cups of coffee to the service men.
2. Like other profit making religious organizations, you file for tax exemption under religion, and therefore do not file a 990 form which would declare your income and what you do with your money.
3. You charge a price for feeding the needy.  That price is obedience to your religion, forcing those who are down and out to pray for their supper, despite individual personal beliefs.
4. You blatantly ignore your position statement of helping all who are in need and deny LGBT people services unless they renounce their sexuality, end same-sex relationships, or, in some cases, attend services "open to all who confess Christ as Savior and who accept and abide by The Salvation Army's doctrine and discipline." In other words, if you're gay or lesbian, you don't qualify.

she got into, and stays in, office because people vote for her.  I have not heard if there is a competing candidate for the upcoming election.  If not, it's partly the fault of the democrats in her district as well.  People can only vote her out if there is a viable opponent.

I don't know which is more annoying - Bachmann or the people who applauded her.  And what schools allow muslims but not christians to pray?  Ms. Bachmann will eliminate the dept of education....  jesus...."When I was growing up in Iowa, there was no fed dept of education" - yeah, and look what resulted, dimwit.

Maybe if I smiled that much people would think I'm as cute as this guy.   Naaahhhhh....

I don't think that guy is educatable.  Language barrier aside, he makes little sense.  Willful ignorance remains ignorance regardless of the hoops that one jumps through to inform.  Might as well try teaching monkeys to crochet.

Here's another compelling story, I think.

Mom:
"I'm glad I didn't tell you its OK because you would have been a bigger whore than you are now."

Dad:
"this cancer medication might make your son homosexual..."

Danny:
"Your son's a 'mo. Get used to it"

Sorry, really "no" to Brad Pitt, even at his peak.  Honestly, I think brains are part of it, and I don't think he's much brighter than the average toy poodle.  Hill Harper plays a doctor-turned-CSI in CSI NY.  At least we are not competing in the same pond.  Not that I'm competing with anyone anyway.

By the way, as long as y'all are discussing your tastes, give me Vin Diesel over Brad Pitt any time.  In my dreams.  But I'd take Hill Harper over either of them.  For looks, yes, but also for intellect, social responsibility, and the personality he projects in his acting.
