Ach du lieber! Gott im Himmel! Your holiness, thank you for answering my question! One thousand hail Marys.

unfortunately, between then and now most of my nerdy gay friends wound up with a little thing called AIDS. That was the 800 pound gorilla that changed every gay life. And now a new generation of nerds joins in. Glad for that.

I remember the Sinclair, though I never had one.  As for the slide rule: Keuffel & Esser "Log-Log Duplex Decitrig," a real classic.  I still have it here ... SOMEWHERE.  And then there was that Christmas party in 1972 my EMF Fields prof threw where someone had one of the first Hewlett Packard HP-35 calculators ... wow, game changer!

More than that...  I had a slide rule.  I know, that puts me into the time of mastedons...  so be it!  Later, I had special pouch hanging on my belt for my HP calculator.  Geek!  Then....  I made my own computer, soldering in the chips and connecting it to the TV with an adapter.  SInclair ZX80.  Google on it!   And....  I did tape my glasses when they broke.  Oh the good old days!

Last time I had a pocket protector that I can remember was 7th grade ... and that's a couple counts short of 50 years ago!

I read through every comment on the first page of the press link.  All of them complainted that the women were noted to be a Lesbian couple.  The commenters just didn't get it.  Dallas, thanks for posting it here, and Dr. Kellie for posting in the forum.
