I just found out about them too: New Mexican Whiptail Lizards? Something like that. The only difference with animals is they don't have any "closet" to speak of, and they don't really put themselves into categories.

I've always liked this video about gay animals! Antigay people will say homosexuality is unnatural. If you point out that it occurs in nature, then they will just switch it up and say "just because animals do it does that mean we should?!"

Sacha,
nice clip, thanks.
Got be thinking, maybe Im just not paying attention, but I don't hear the arguments that "humans are the only animals that have same-sex relationships" any more. Maybe that message finally got out?

Transsexualism No Longer Viewed As A Mental Illness In France

“France has removed transsexualism from an official list of mental illnesses, according to an order issued by the French Ministry of Health reported Friday by French news media. The order issued Wednesday removed “gender identity disorders” from an article of the social security code related to “long-term psychiatric diseases.” According to media reports, France is the first country in the world to do so.”

I don't care much about actors and celebs, but I saw this on born-again christian Baldwin brother Stephen: same same: No to same-sex marriage, it's not god's will, it's not normal. Gays should "convert" to straight, and get married.

Unfortunately, the US culture is infatuated with actors and celebs who have no training, insight, or skills other than fulfilling fantasies and having a certain look or attitude. There are lots who are pro-equality. I guess we'll have a few who are assholes as well.

@Dallas Gaytheist - If it's ok to ask, in what way are these gays that you're thinking of more pretentious? What could they have done differently? I don't know if it is always possible to be specific with this kind of question.

When I was in the gay community in Washington DC in the late 1980s and in the 1990s, I noticed that everyone talked about what college they attended and tried to one-up each other also by what kind of jobs they had or who they knew. Whereas when I was in the gay community in Balitimore MD in the same time period, I absolutely never ever saw that kind of talk. Not once. Nobody talked about colleges attended or jobs held, and relative to DC at least, people did seem more down to earth, more real. These 2 cities are only 50 minutes apart. It was also a lot easier to approach people in Baltimore, but very hard to meet people in DC. So maybe I could say that the DC gay scene seemed to be a bit more pretentious than the Baltimore gay scene.

Lovely trailer. I keep hoping that someone will make a movie where the cool protagonist is a middle aged balding overweight gay guy. But it's nice to see one with beautiful young people, too.

@ Mike. You are right about the latent homophobia. And don't get me started on bisexuality. My friends often say that they think that bisexuals don't really even exist. I'm not a bisexual but that just enrages me! but i won't rant on that now lol.

Maybe soon this will be a nonissue. I hope so.
