OK. Here's what I don't get about the Ohh Soo Moral Brownback. Because of his fiscal policies, Kansas is now broke. So broke, in fact, that in 2014, they had to engage in the sale of sex toys. Since the auction is now over, I couldn't locate the site where the State of Kansas was auctioning off a double donged dildo. But I swear I saw it (and laughed my ass off till there were tears in my eyes).
Try as I might, I can't seem to find which book of the buybull sanctions battery powered "jack packs" while prohibiting normal love between two adult humans. Can someone help me out here?
Per Jon Stewart, "Sam Brownback clicked his heels together three times and said, There's no place like homophobia."
@ Daniel - Well, knowing and respecting your qualities of mind as I do, I was confident his subtlety wouldn't escape you. (Your penchant for understatement is in quite good health as well.)
While in the lighter vein, I can't resist sharing a line from the Rude Pundit's rant on Kansas Governor Sam Brownback's executive order removing lgbt job protections:
Man, some people have Jesus shoved so far up their asses that they can feel his crown of thorns on their uvulas.
I've enjoyed frites with aioli -- wonderful stuff, made with olive oil, egg yolks, lemon juice and/or mustard, and about a thousand garlic cloves!
(Time to move this conversation to "Food!")
I eat Thousand Island dressing on my french fries. And sometimes, aioli.
As for being attracted to someone in the laboratory setting, I don't know. White coats are kind of a turn off, regardless of gender. :-)
On a lighter note, some cuteness from Buzzfeed:
How to tell if someone is bisexual:

Note again the language of NOM's attempt to channel Martin Luther King in support of bigotry:
we will march for a true and just cause, for the civil right of Americans to enjoy the benefits of natural marriage, the union of one man and one woman, the foundation of society and the cradle of civilization.
Religion Digest published an article today by Eric Miller [WILL “RIGHTS” CLAIMS TIP THE SCALES AGAINST GAY MARRIAGE?] that's a bit disturbing in this regard. It's worth reading in its entirety, but the main point is that conservatives have come to the realization that framing discourse in the language of "rights" amounts to a cloak of invisibility for extreme candidates and positions, and ultimately an invitation to lie.
For years, same-sex marriage supporters have successfully framed the debate in terms of the “right to marry” and “marriage equality.” Rights and equality are the trump cards of political liberalism, and these are arguably the two most potent frames in American political discourse. Supporters of traditional marriage have lacked a counter-argument that could stand up to these effective declarations. Arguments regarding tradition, nature, and children seemed to lose to those of rights, especially for the young who are more susceptible to rights frames. Recently, however, activists have been reframing their support for traditional marriage using the language of rights, arguing that children have the “right to have both a father and a mother.” Some recent research suggests that this might be effective.
