I know there's a HUGE difference between 5th grade and high school, but when I see some of these high school students who are fighting against school prayer or trying to establish a Secular Student Alliance interviewed on television, I say to myself, "Wow!! These kids sound so adult." I'm really quite impressed with their maturity and coherent understanding of issues. When I think back when I was in high school, I can't help but laugh at what a buffoon and clown I was. I think kids, overall these days, are more mature at younger ages. Yeah, they sure grow up fast, for good or bad.
Dallas, I don't care if you rain on this parade, just as long as it's raining men. Hallelujah!
I really think this boy and his speech are genuine. He mentions that his mother is very open in discussing this topic. Perhaps he's just repeating his mom's "talking points" but, in my opinion, his words don't sound forced or too adult. As far as him stumbling while reading, I do the same thing and I'm 47. I give him the benefit of the doubt.
It is the way he made mistakes, like he was unsure of what certain words were. I am still proud of him and shared this on facebook.
He also had problems reading it in places
Actually, he's not my son and I STILL feel very proud!! LOL
What a great speech! What an adorable boy! I'd be very proud if he were my son.
Re: "Homosexual agenda, the Iceberg"
Oh my goodness, haven't you understood by now that homosexuality is a natural phenomenon that you spend time and money and effort and loved ones trying to denounce. Just take yourself on a ride into space, out past Saturn and look through the rings and see a very tiny blue dot. That dot is Earth. Now, do you really think that there is a god who denounces them? who denies them? who wants you to hate them? This is the most ridiculous idea, just as the color of person's skin mattered a generation ago. Grow up people! It is time to leave behind childish prejudices and get on with loving and caring and compassion. There is so much hate dripping from this film I can not hear your love ... if there is any.
You know what they say, even a broken clock is right twice a day. I wouldn't be too concerned.
That's what Donald Trump thinks.
