Sorry for typos.

I second it - gorgeous dahlias BB!  Do you dig them in fall and store the tubers?  Or leave in ground?

I was puttering and saw that one I planted last spring finally grew.  About a foot tall now!

Joan, thanks for the permaculture inspirations.  Wow, in the desert!  Im sure I've said - maybe not, I'm forgetful - I use some petmaculture concepts as guidance and inspiration, but would not call myeself a permaculturist.   Also, some of the concepts take more effort, and I get tires and sore; or acceptance of untidiness that my neighbors disapprove of.  Plus, deer and rabbits.

Some gallardias, still blooming!  No watering all summer!  Untouched by herbivores!  I ordrted seeds for dome other colors.  According to the packet, they can be planted Spring or Fall.  I think I will try early Spring or late winter indoors.

And I thought MY garden was rocky! Perhaps there's hope yet. Thanks, Joan.

Randy, my son-in-law's daughter is famous for being a grammar-nazi. I will ask her.

Oh, Joan! Only you would do the research for my question! You're so precious. Looks like no consensus. I'll stick to no apostrophe.

Spud, we got 2" of rain two days ago, flooding fields and yards. Farmers and gardeners won't be able to harvest for awhile. I don't mind--farmers do.

Attractive flowers, Bertold.

Randy, I don't know the answer to your question about "apostrophe in 'farmers'". This is what I found:

Check grammar for ”I'm going to give persimmons to sell at the farmers market.”

”No issues found. Grammarly ran hundreds of checks on your text and found no writing issues.”

University of New Hampshire

”Selling Successfully at a Farmers Market”

University of Illinois

”Selling at Farmers Markets”

Well and Good

”These insider secrets will make your farmers' market trips way more fruitful.”

”I'm on the verge of my first sales season (farmer's market and CSA)”
