Moving an Established Fig Tree. Delayed post from Nov 2017
I'm reaching frustration level-I had carpel tunnel surgery on both hands and there's all this stuff to do outside. But the daffodils started blooming on Saturday and they are oh-so-lovely. Forsythia and magnolias are blooming as well. This is just crazy.
Regina, cool! Our daffodils are blooming. Snowed today but temp was mid 30s. Winter onions are up to the point that we are getting scallions. Peaches blooming - might be a bad thing here, too early.
Crocuses are coming up here! Suddenly realizing I haven't ordered my seeds to start yet...
Susan, my daffodils too. It's great! We've had Helleborus blooming for a month here, but that almost doesn't count. Daffodils mean Spring!
so glad my daffodils are coming up, love the feel of spring coming around the corner. love the change in seasons
i have an evil mind.
Lol, Sentient. Tacomaria - burritojesus.
Nice! I've never heard of a tacomaria. Im so bad, the first thing I thought was, do you have a burritojesus nearby? Then I googled on itand discovered there is a Taco Maria statue in Austin. Had to go to google images. Lovely plant! Is it fragrant?
Today in the yard... Pruned grape vines. Grapes are best pruned in the winter. If you prune them in the Spring, they drip sap for days. I don't know if that's bad for them, but a cold winter day is considered a good time. Pruned a couple of fig trees. Did not take a lot of growth off the figs, just enough to keep the center open to light and breeze.
