IMO only old atheists should be allowed. Most of these younger kids wouldn't know what gothic was if it came up and bit'em in the...

Sorry, I'm just old and bitter at a changing scene. To old to be in the club? Pfft, I was in the club while you were still in elementary school.

Same here Alex. I'm more a fan of Gothic than an active participant.

Not sure if I qualify for "Gothic" or not but I prefer the moon over the sun *I'm an Insomniac so thats good I guess* and the gothic style of architecture is simply genius.

Oh, and it should have gotten an awesome-score-and-soundtrack award.

For 20 years "Airplane!" held my top spot as funniest movie ever made, until "Drop Dead Gorgeous." Mockumentary about a beauty pageant in small town Minnesota. Unapologetically offends pretty much every offendable group. Ellen Barkin as the ultimate trailer-trash mom is priceless. Heartwarming, yet also rather sick and dark. Just how I like 'em!

Bonus in-jokes if you're from the Midwest.

Horror movie group - I've lurked a couple times but haven't joined yet.

Not sure if I qualify as 'Goth.' But I did a lot of learning-about-myself lately with a friend I've been having DVD-afternoons with. She's into chick-flicks and romantic comedies.

Looking through my not-too-small DVD collection, really looking at it, I'm finding tons of Scifi/fantasy, some horror, and the few films I have that come close to my friend's criteria are a little on the morbid side, like "Drop Dead Gorgeous." Even in my love of musicals, "Sweeney Todd" and "Chicago" where the heroines are vain murderers. Children's flicks? "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" often described as a horror movie for kids.

So ok, I guess I have a little Goth in me. }>

Nice to be here!
