This is new! Betty Bowers, America's Best Christian, reading a book other than the bible??? True enough! Seems as though some shiksa by the name of Bonnie Weinstein has recently penned a tome with the title: When Christians Break Bad: Letters from the Insane, Inane, and Profane. Apparently Ms. Weinstein has had access to the hate mail sent to the Military Religious Freedom Foundation and, probably to show an example of how evenhanded and tolerant the attitudes of those letters were (NOT!!!), decided to publish a whole bunch of them. Not long after, Betty, our heroine, decided to pick up a copy, and I can't escape the feeling that she found the contents a tad bit disturbing.
I'll let you decide for yourselves. Betty ... are you BLUSHING???
Have You Had YOUR Betty Today?
Oooooo......you're reading that, Mrs. Bowers? ......heaven forbid..........
Have you ever noticed that heaven forbids a whole bunch of things, but when people actually DO them anyway, NOTHING HAPPENS!
Yeah, amazin' huh?!
I also notice its only a sin when its by other people, not when they do it.
Believers have a loophole for that - something like nothing is forbidden for the holiest believers.
Don't worry, they'll get what's coming to them in the afterlife, after they're dead, where quite conveniently nobody can observe or verify or report back.
