After what has seemed like a very long hiatus, TheraminTrees is BACK.  No great surprise, not only hasn't he lost a step, he may actually have gained a few!  That said, may I present:

Thanks for posting this.  Very thought-provoking.  Loved it.  I wasn't familiar with this YouTube channel or with any of the other videos.  I am now subscribed.

I've enjoyed Theramin's work for a while now, though as I noted, it's been a bit between drinks for him.  I especially like the saying he has on his YouTube home page:

People who don't want you to think are never your friend.

that hurt to watch.  Similar to my father.

Loren, I have never heard of such a thing as TheraminTrees'. It has been years since I read any TA; I loved it then and I think I am going to like this one. I started a playlist and look forward to some very interesting and informative time. What is TheraminTrees? The words, what do they mean? I understand he has a twin brother, QualiaSoup, who writes and performs the piano score.

Thanks Loren

You're more than welcome, Joan.  I've seen some of QualiaSoup's work as well, though nothing recent, and it was great to see TT's new piece after such a long absence.

Loren, Thank you for this lead. I had never heard of him and am enjoying my playlist TheraminTrees. Obviously, you learned about them through Transactional Analysis.

There is another new person you and this site led me toward, Rosenhan's Experiment: Being Sane in Insane Places. He is best known for the Rosenhan experiment, a study challenging the validity of psychiatry diagnoses.

You say TheraminTrees returned from a hiatus. He is so insightful, I wonder why he was on this leave?

TheraminTrees joins his brother QualiaSoup on The Thinking Atheist. Another great lead. Thanks, dear friend.

Actually, my discovery of TheraminTrees had nothing to do with T/A.  It had more to do with a video of his that crossed my desk (or computer screen, as it happens!) a few years ago, one which I thought was rather poignant:

Theism is Not Rational. Aron Ra challenges a christian apologist

.

This lead comes as a result of a hunt following Loren's reference to TheraminTrees. Loren, you send me on the most interesting hunts imaginable. You also reacquaint me to Transcendental Meditation. A good thing.

[grin] I HAVE mentioned at one point or another that I'm an Associate Teacher of the Transcendental Meditation technique, haven't I?  I never completed my training, but I had a lot of fun working for them in upstate New York, never mind learning a lot about my vocation (engineering) and about myself.

And I just went through "Theism is Not Rational" ... WHEW!  AronRa does it again!  Peter Kreeft should feel as though he's in pieces from the dismantling job Aron does on him!  THAT was delicious!
