Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

degrading love — part one (TheraminTrees)

Love is by many considered among the highest of positive emotions.  Yet when love of the type offered by deities is examined, something seems to go seriously wrong.  The love of Yahweh seems less a gift than a demand, not so much beneficence as a…Continue

Melinda, does the video show up all black?  Sometimes videos on here are just blank, black boxes.  It gets corrected when I refresh the page.  Anybody else been having that problem?  I've been wondering if it's a problem I'm having with Mozillia, but perhaps it's this site?

Speaking of 'Where's Waldo?' for those of you familiar with filmmaker Werner Herzog, you may appreciate this video:

Well....took less than 3 minutes:

I feel kinda stupid for not looking for this last night.

Comment by sk8eycat on January 12, 2013 at 7:43pm

I've been trying to post something here since late last night, and every time I do, my screen hangs and I have to exit everything. (My computer is 7 years old...almost 8.)

Anyway, I'm delighted that everyone has been having fun with the "invisible" animals.  They ARE more fascinating than looking for that "Waldo" character, aren't they?

Steph, my brains are falling out.  The "Owls in Camoflage" were Pasted in an e-mail...no link provided, and trying to Paste just ONE of the photos in here was what was causing m computer to freeze.  I think.  I'll search for the web site they came from, they have to be somewhere on the net, and post the link.  When I find it.

In the meantime, I've been playing in the kitchen.  I've been craving old-fashioned baked custard, and it's in the oven now.

Felaine

Sorry, folks.

Now these wise creatures represent my three wise children. They constantly amaze me with their strengths, morals, intelligence and compassion. From such a hard start, they have evolved into wonders.
