Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

worshipping narcissists (qualiasoup & theramintrees)

They're all around us: people who perceive the world as revolving around them and will go to considerable lengths to make it so: narcissists.  Such beings have been with humanity, I suspect, since humanity emerged from the gene pool.  Even worse,…Continue

That's horrible, Plinius.

I itch all the time, but nothing close to what you experienced.

I would fire that dermatologist.

Comment by Patricia on March 23, 2018 at 1:26pm

I've been the skin shredding itch route so I do know what its like, & its just an expression.

I have often said my pains with different issues were driving me mad.

Comment by Plinius on March 23, 2018 at 1:18pm

Thanks Patricia! I don't know about driving mad, but it's very hard to concentrate while itching.

Comment by Patricia on March 23, 2018 at 1:10pm

Oh it must be driving you mad! Lets hope they get it solved or at least livable!

Hospital mistakes can be quite heavy on the patient. Two months ago a dermatologist started treating my eczema. Linked to the eczema treatment was an allergy test. That was ok with me, but I told them that I have a serious nickel allergy which needed no testing, but of course I couldn't see what they stuck on my back. They tested nickel in spite of my warning and  I started on the worst allergy outbreak of my life. Raging itch of course but also open sores where metal buttons or zippers burnt through layers of clothing. I took out all the metal parts from my clothing, wore no jewelry or watch anymore but still couldn't sleep or even sit still from that horrible itch, six weeks on end. Now I know that itching is much worse than pain.

Many apologies from the dermatologist when she saw how I looked. Today I start on a series of medicines that should calm down allergies... wish me luck!

Looks like shades of that last Indiana Jones flick (which wasn't that great, IMHO).

Loren, you have every right to be proud and it will be interesting to learn from her how to better make "intelligence" work.
