Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

I'm glad you're still ok, Joan!

A great and pricipled actor has left the set. I didn't know until recently that he took on the blacklist by hiring Trumbo to write 'Spartacus' and giving him full screen credits.

You're right, Joan about being differently impaired and the drifting in and out of the fog is very typical of early dementia. I've often seen that while working in elderly care. It's clear that there are hiatuses in how often you post and I presume they happen when things are less clear for you. Many people succumb to depression at this point but it seems that your determination is stronger than that. Long may it stay so!

It's been the same in DK, Ruth. The bulbs (crocus and daffodils) started showing late last year and the first flowers have now appeared. There are snowdrops everywhere, in gardens, verges etc.

Pandemic lighter side comments

PeteBootySnitch: The virus could be traveling on the microscopic feces particles in fart clouds. Nobody is really talking about that.

tallwheel: Wouldn't one's undergarments/pants stop any moisture from getting very far? Everyone is already wearing a mask on their ass.

PeteBootySnitch: Depends whether your underwear is N95. If not, it could be escaping through pores.

Thank you, Ian and Randy, in saying that you see no trace of cognitive impairment in my posts.

The family, my physician, and I agree that I am impaired in different ways. We all agree that I continue to write in coherent terms; that is because I hold back on a piece until it makes sense. There are times when I am in a fog. Others can see it in me by my confusion, not being able to solve problems, the different physical appearance that includes a slump to my shoulders and back, and blurred eyes. It seems I continue to have my cranky side.

Snowdrops were in full bloom in our back garden today. We've had an unusually mild Winter so far. Most of the time the ground isn't frozen.

Well, I am surprised to learn, "As Coronavirus Spreads To Wisconsin, Media Says 'Shoot The Messenger!'"

I am with Chris Martenson when it comes to access to information. I can reject it or pay attention to it; I have the right to make that decision. As always, the truth will appear, not as a "right" or "wrong" process but as a decision making process. Too many times in life we have to make decisions without enough information. So ... we rely on the Psubscript3: what is the Probability? what is the Possibility? What is the Preferability of an event happening?

Since there's limited community 2019 nCoV transmission in California, Randall, I'd recommend avoiding large crowds, and wash hands often.

Safe trip.
