Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

Not only should the Federal government issue the "Stay at home" order, but all medications should be negotiated through the nation and health care should be provided to all inhabitants, citizens or not. From where will the funding come? From those…Continue

Viruses Don't Watch FoxNews (Betty Bowers)

Once again, America's Best Christian, Betty Bowers finds it necessary to saddle up and call the soi-disant Christians of the current era on their apparent lack of anything resembling behavior that the carpenter-turned-rabbi would find even remotely…Continue

So far we're fine. Almost no one wears face masks, there's short supply and what there is goes to hospitals, even face masks from beauticians, dentists etc. Dentists and many others do only emergency work. Restaurants, foodshops and many other shops are closed but deliveries are booming - they ring the bell, put the parcel on the steps and wait at a distance until you've picked it up. Appointments cancelled and contacts only through telephone, e-mail or video. Almost no public transport, if you haven't got a car you stay home. We keep everyone at a distance of 2 metres so you're in a kind of choreography when people meet at the lift. We do a little shopping every five days and walk in the park now and then. It's doable and you get used to it easily. I wonder if people will go back to shaking hands after all this. Many of you who live in town are in the same position, I hope you're all well!

Plinius, how are you getting along, given the need to self-quarantine? Living in a commercial building and using an elevator puts you at high risk. I worry about you. Are you able to protect yourself with a mask, and make few trips away from your apartment? Do take care!

Nope, don't understand the language.

Good stuff, you all. Love those photos, Ian.

It's pretty quiet around these parts--very little traffic.

I have my dog to keep me company.

Be well and keep in touch.

I love that, Patricia!

Last night we heard the corona speech from our king and he did it very well. Gave us the feeling that the puppets at the top are still in place and doing their jobs.

Beautiful walk, Ian! We discovered a riot of celandine at the waterside this week, lovely!

We not going out now, only some shopping every five days or so. Visits to our family forbidden - they're both in care homes and not allowed visitors for the time being. So we're cleaning at home, reorganising and making plans, reading and talking. Yes, we're also loners.
