Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

degrading love — part two (TheraminTrees)

TheraminTrees set up religion with his left in Part One of his treatise on how religion demeans and degrades the value of love.  Here in Part Two, he brings in a devastating, "Mike Tyson" right, which negates and invalidates any claim that either…Continue

Well, k.h., you did your civil duty and now I'm sure you're glad you don't have to do that again for a while.

For you pet lovers out there.  Check out these adorable pet trailers.

Carl, brought in a guilty verdict today. A 38 year old woman disappeared in 1993. Last seen leaving work with her bil. Her body has never been found. This case was against the mans wife. Google Patsy Calloway if you want the many, confusing, details.

Thanks, Bertold, for sharing "Why Won't God Heal Amputees". After establishing that the Christian idea of a god who answers substantial prayers is a delusion, it discusses the true, secular basis of goodness and morality.

The notion that "we are all in this together" is the beginning of everything good about human beings.

I've been recommending to friends the site's conclusion, a bold humanist call for us people to create a "Heaven on Earth".

I like your post, booklover. It reminded me of another nice site:

It's true tht black dogs abound in a shelter. The people there said so. That's one reason I chose Dot. Another statement of antiestablishmentarianism! Glad you all approve of my choice.

Toledo's water problems are pretty much local to that city, but if they can't deal with the fertilizer run-off issue, that problem could become others' as well.  For what I hear, they currently have the algae bloom under control, but the issue remains ongoing.

Thanks for your concern, Carl.

I hope Napoleon is all right as well.  I like him because he's a rebel and a lightning rod for tender emotions.  lol
