Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

If you could rid the world of one thing, what would it be?

Today, I heard Seth Andrews talk about the question, "If you could rid the world of one thing, what would it be?"  My first thought was religion, but after a few seconds I decided it would be irrational or anti-scientific thinking.  That would take…Continue

Mindy make sure you use Feliway or whatever it's called with you. I mean the feromones in a spray that tells a cat he's home and all is right. It made a world of difference when we moved brother-in-law's scared cat.And I'm glad Dale is improving!

Oh, been there, done THAT!  We had 2 cats once who were totally devoted to each other, and a 3rd kitty just showed up one day, announced that she owned me, and moved in.  The first 2 never wanted anything to do with her, and she wanted to be an Only Cat. She finally got her wish, but it took years.  Se was a very "talky" tortie, so I named her Noisy.

I still miss her...she was very cuddly.  With me, only.

Bertpld, what IS it about Mac fans?  They are passionate about all Apple products.  Though "my" tech man isn't thrilled with them...he said about the only real advantage is that most malware us designed to attack Microsoft systems, and that is changing rapidly.

Mindy, I forgot to say I'm happy to hear Dale is improving. It's so distressing when they can; tell anyone what's wrong...where it hurts, or if it hurts.

I highly recommend watching Jackson Galaxy, either on Animal Planet, or his short videos on YouTube.  He really understands "CatSpeak."

@Sk8eycat - I hear you. I'm no kind of a MAC fan.

It's good to be back!  But I really don't like this MacBook...starting with the size of the keys, and the total lack of a calculator-type keypad.

Anyroad, I don't remember if I posted this link before my Dell crashed...the "Windows Waltz"

Sk8eycat - We missed your razor-sharp wit and wisdom. Great to have you back.

You're not really lonely when we all think of you, Sk8eycat! Don't forget it!

Felaine, I know what you mean about not having access to mail. I am addicted to Atheist Nexus and my friends here. I am surprised you had your Mac Book in reserve. I love mine and find it does so much and with few crashes. Whatever is the problem, I hope you get it fixed quickly. Also hope your friend doesn't charge you a lot.
