Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

Hello, Friends.  I've been a bit absent from here lately.  I just spent another five days in the hospital.  I was just released on Saturday.  I was sent back to the hospital with a possible blood clot that actually turned out to be a very bad case of cellulitis instead.  While there, they also discovered that my kidney function again was failing.  I ended up having a kidney biopsy this past Friday.  I should know the results later this week.  The results should give an indication as to why my kidneys are in such bad shape.  I suspect it's genetic, as I've had minor kidney issues since I was a child.  It's now catching up to me as I age.

I've only had access to A/N from my smart phone and relplying is quite tedious, especially since I don't get my new glasses until this coming Thursday.  Type face on the smartphone is just too small for me to see comfortably.  I finally have access to a desktop computer today at my sister's house.  But I have kept up with all the comings and goings here in this group.  I miss not being able to respond in a more timely manner.

Haven't used the PC much the last few days so trying to catch up.

Great news, Mindy. Hope the nausea can be kept to a minimum.

Larry: I love history and books. Am always reading something and watch Viasat History more than any other channel.

There's a lot of recycling in Denmark but some of that is out of my reach as I don't drive and therefore can't deliver.

Invisible cows! Stealing that :-D

Pat, too. Mindy, also.

You all have a good Labor Day. Remember, no hot dogs (cancer producing).

I also put a lot in the recycle bin that the city picks-up at the curb every other week.

Idaho power gives us $30 for old operational refrigerators between 10 and 30 cubic feet.  My very old one I had in the garage only had 8.8 cubic feet so I missed-out on that money.  I took it to Pacific Steel & Recycling (where I sold the batteries), and they took it without any money changing hands either way.

The landfill wanted me to pay them $10 to take it, and it's also further to drive.  They recycle them also.

I have an another old refrigerator in the house that I'm using as a third fridge , but it's not frost-free, which is a pain, and it probably costs me more in electricity than it's worth, so I think I'll sell it to Idaho Power for $30.

Yeah, I'm the only person in the neighborhood that doesn't have trash pickup. I recycle virtually everything. And conveniently (and cheaply), the recycling center has a big "others" receptacle. I save over $100 a year in fees and help the environment. So smug. I don't make any money, however.

Excellent Spud. I recycle anything for free. But if I can earn a few bucks doing it that's even better.

Just sold 18 old car batteries I had laying around and got $136.  Nice!

Love the reason for not going to church Mindy.
