Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

Yasmine Mohammed is not your average ex-Muslim.  Not only did she get shut of Islam, she also managed to escape what was at one time the most notorious of radical Islamist organizations: Al Qaeda.  She has since documented the story of her apostasy…Continue

Carl, thank you for keeping Felaine in the loop! She finally is getting the medical care she needs. We can all sing praises for the care and attention she is getting and hope all goes well with her. Her symptoms blew horns and sirens that she needed care. I wonder how she got there? No matter! She is there and getting the care she needs. Gangrene means amputation to me. Please keep us informed.

Hello, again, friends.  Here's an update on Felaine.  I wasn't able to speak with her directly.  She's been transferred to ICU (Intensive Care Unit) and doesn't have a telephone.  When I called, I spoke with a very pleasant nurse who was within speaking distance of Felaine.  When the nurse told Felaine that Carl from Chicago was calling to check-up on her, I could hear Felaine call out "Hello!" and that she's doing well.

When I called, she was in the middle of having some tests done in her room so she wasn't able to relay messages back and forth via the nurse at that time.  But the nurse will tell her that "Everybody" misses her, hopes she gets well soon, and that we are looking forward to seeing her again in our group.

It's not known how much longer she is expected to remain hospitalized, but the nurse told me Elaine is doing well and is getting important and needed medication.

I'm assuming she's in good spirits, especially since she so robustly called out "Hello" to me.  The nurse spoke very kindly about Felaine.  I can just imagine the medical staff has gotten quite a few chuckles from Felaine.

I don't blame Patricia either.  Richard seemed rather callous about loosing a lot of people.  And, I tried to donate without getting the star on my avatar, but It wouldn't let me.  I don't like making people feel bad that can't contribute, and my cat has all but disappeared.

Patricia is upset about Richard's donation request. Can't say that I blame her. And Ruth shouldn't be too pleased to have half her face disappear!

I guess Bernie Sanders had a great "turnout" to his video appearance. I tried to go to one, but they reached capacity. Does anybody know his "religion", if any? I'll like him even better if he's a "none".

Yeah, I miss her too.

I will, Loren!

Chris, you can tell Patricia for me that she's missed and I wish like hell she'd come back.  Throw in a hug for good measure, too!  [grin!]

Carl, thanks for the information about Felaine.

Gee, I'm sorry Patricia has left us. I enjoyed her reports. I hope she reconsiders.

What they said... thanks, Carl, for finding out about Felaine, and I hope she gets back to health sooner rather than later!
