Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

There is a petition being sponsored by whitehouse.gov to remove "in god we trust" as the national motto and replace it with the original: "E Pluribus, Unum" or "Out of Many, One."  As of this writing, there are around 11,000 signatures on it, with…Continue

"Tortoise Shell" I like the sound of that.

Carl, love you cat who gives baths. Nice way to earn one's keep.

Joan, I'm glad you liked the comic.  See!!  You DO have a sense of humor!  :)

Patricia, they're both beautiful.

We've had torties, and orange cats, and right now I have Pumpkin (or he owns me), and Fred, the Tar Baby, who has adopted my sister.

They are both silly, in their own ways.

Little Miss "Innysint", a very beautiful cat. The coloring is so pretty. Is there a name for that kind of coloration?

Patricia, I like the picture of the guard duty cat.

Carl is right, the whole incident sounds like something from the Warner Bros. Cartoon Factory.  (Pussykatz iz deh cwaziest pipple!") Wish I'd been there.

I, too, have lived with cats all my life, except when I was on the road...after a few horrid experiences with kidney failure, I've said, "No more!"  But I NEED them!

I tell people that my parents had cats for 10 years before they had me...it's true.  some of my earliest memories involve a white cat named Angela.

And some of my happiest memories are of working my rear end off at the Cat Hotel, feeding 35+ cats in an hour or less, and scooping litter boxes while talking to the cats, and petting them. (We had more than 60 "guests" New Year's Eve 1999.  It was WONderful!  I could feel the love.)

What a pleasant chatter is going on here. Laugh after laugh!  Carl, love your cartoon.

Disappeared to the basement without touching the stairs.  That's hilarious!!  That whole incident sounds like a scene from a Looney Toons Cartoon.

LOL!  Did she jump back out right away?  Did you get any photos?

Once upon a time, a friend of mine was taking a bubble-bath, and I guess her cat thought the bubbles were solid, and he jumped right in.  He was surprised, but didn't freak out...he walked back and forth in the bubbles, and purred. For a while.

Srsly.
