Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

They're all around us: people who perceive the world as revolving around them and will go to considerable lengths to make it so: narcissists.  Such beings have been with humanity, I suspect, since humanity emerged from the gene pool.  Even worse,…Continue

I don't have panic attacks anymore since my heart surgery. Looking back I'm tending to think now that they never were actual panic attacks, but my body responding to my faulty heart valve and my chronically high blood pressure. My heart would start pumping fast, which alarmed me, only to cause more psychological unease and tention.

Is that usual for you, panic attacks? I'm not jealous.

In the past year I had a heart attack and didn't realize it at the time.  I thought it was just another panic attack.  It wasn't until tests were done months later that showed what really occurred.

But she had a day when she couldn't move her legs, I think, and that looks like a stroke or a TIA.

Thanks Chris.  I agree Carl.  I wonder if she had strokes in months or years before, because her posts on here didn't show it to me.  She was sharp through her last post.

Chris, thanks for that additional information about Felaine.  You are absolutely correct.  Her treatment came far too late to make a difference.  I also agree with you when you previously said that Elaine died of poverty.  Years of neglect in getting proper medical care was a result of having to make a choice between food or medicine.  No one should have to face that decision.  Such an infuriating situation.  I'm glad, also, that she was in a hospital and being properly cared for when she died.

Patricia had a bit more news about Felaine:

Felaine's death was caused by several strokes so she didn't have a chance.
I still think her care came far too late, but she at least didn't have to become a vegetable, as she so feared.
We just have to be glad she was in the right place to die instead of at home, & looked after as best as possible under the circumstances.

I read a book about the Bermuda Triangle in the 80s - can't remember the author. The author believed in it, but the proof was non  existant. Full of vague threats, the Marie Celeste, other favourite mysteries and so on.

Ooops! "Their"  My only excuse is that I was tired.

Flying Atheist, that Photoshop fakewas a fantastic find.

Lloyds of London doesn't buy the Bermuda Triangle, Ian? That settles it.
