Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

Went into the chat room last Friday night, for the first time in a while, and learned that Mequa passed away. I had been good friends with him for a time, but we had differences and stopped talking back in the spring of this year. I knew however,…Continue

Something to think about:

Little green Beliebers ? Now THAT's a scary thought !

Agreed!

It reminds me of "Please don't pray in our schools, and we won't think in your church."

That's fantastic, Patiricia!

Napoleon Bonaparte, your mushroom cloud hits close to home. I assume you read the news that a nuke almost detonated in North Carolina in 1961 as a result of a bomber crash. That's not the last image I want to see before going to bed, which I'm about to do.

Your son sounds very mature, Mindy. A result of good parenting.

Mindy, I've just remembered that when I lived with a woman who had teenage daughters it was me who bought the elder her first condoms. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do. Perhaps there's less fuss about these things in Denmark as it was accepted as reasonable and sensible.

You kind of have to explore the different departments under FAVORITES.  I still haven't figured out WTF Ben Huh is doing with the entire site.  It's too effing complicated for me these days

Good for you Mindy, a modern mother unafraid and accepting of reality.

Mindy, it sounds as if you've got the balance between caring and letting go right. That's hard to do, so well done.

My daughter has told me that she and her boyfriend are now looking for a flat to move into together. I will have to practice the words "son-in-law" now.

Have a great Saturday all you lovely people.

I've never seen Jeffs Cats Book Club at cheezburer, sk8eycat.

Flying Atheist, Jerry Bishop is from a more innocent, simpler era.

booklover, I always enjoy your family stories. Thanks.

Tony, that's a groaner. Loren, that's the best Talk like a Pirate's day toon. Grinning Cat, that's a sweet way to enjoy the day.

Hugs, all!
