Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

Sorry to hear about your stepmother, Ian. That’s a lot of life stress in a short time.

A pit bull like Siamese, I don’t think I could get along with Buddy, Joseph.  Thanks for sharing the Buddy fell from tree story. It sounds as if he had no lasting harm.

LOL, great quote sk8eycat, and the rubics cube is a perfect touch to the classic prayer image. I did not get the Moondoggie pun. But I’m not that good at puns.

Steph, your Starwars LOLcats were a hoot.

I regret nothing cat was great  too, booklover. Great way to start my day.

Or to anyone in the Southern Hemisphere, Happy Fall!

Happy first day of Spring to all of you.  Almost all the snow is gone from the ground, the sun is shining.........but it's 14-degees outside!!  Yikes!  I'm sure looking forward to the warmer weather.

Ian, I wish you well as you attend to your family.  Sorry to hear about your bad news.

Melinda, I'm also in a union, so health care coverage is always subject to the bargaining process during contract negotiations.  I have to say, I've been pretty lucky having decent health care throughout the years despite having different coverage from different insurance companies from time to time.  I've also been very lucky to have been able to keep my same doctor that I've had for over 20 years.  I know some people have to switch doctors or pay more money because they are 'out of network.'  This is why we need universal health care in this country.  Our employers should NOT have to be in the business of offering us our health insurance.  Employers are only looking at the bottom line costs to provide insurance which is why so many people end up with inferior coverage or no coverage at all.  [stepping off soapbox now.]
