Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

degrading love — part one (TheraminTrees)

Love is by many considered among the highest of positive emotions.  Yet when love of the type offered by deities is examined, something seems to go seriously wrong.  The love of Yahweh seems less a gift than a demand, not so much beneficence as a…Continue

Well, the first scheduling snafu. I was not on the chemo schedule this week and called to see if there had been a mistake. I went for my appointment with the radiologist and I had made a mistake. The appointment is for 1:00 PM not 9:00 AM. So I talked to the scheduler directly and in person, and it turns our that I have two more BIG MEAN chemo treatments and four more little ones. When I am finished with chemo I will start radiation. Today's appointment is with the radiologist to plan the treatments and set up appointments for the actual radiation.

I am feeling more comfortable about unknown future events; anxiety does not help, and I just have to muster my anxiety management skills and get on with life.

Glad no one was hurt, Joan, but I think it was a big scare for the neighbourhood.

When you start radiation, does that mean that you're through with the chemo? Then I think the rest is easier. But the positive thoughts keep coming: ((((((((((((((((Joan)))))))))))))))

Spokane firefighters are fighting a defensive battle on a house fire near the intersection of 19th Avenue and Sherman on the South Hill.

I live on 21st Ave, just south of the explosion.

OK my Atheist Nexus Cancer Support Team, I start radiation tomorrow and have no idea what to expect. Keep positive thoughts coming my way and maybe a funny cartoon or story to make me laugh.

We heard two loud explosions followed by two smaller ones at about 4:00 PM. Propane tanks blew up at a house two block away, the house is destroyed as well as three cars, a boat and two houses caught fire. Eleven fire units fought the conflagration in 92 degree heat. They had to rotate crews because of the high temps. No one was hurt. The smell of acrid smoke fills the air.

Mindy, your sign is a KEEPER!  [cut-paste!]  And I'm glad you and Joan enjoyed Neil's musings!

Loren, I like Tyson "Caught on Camera". He is smart and funny, with a script or on his own.

Melinda, Sounds like a good time was had by all. Lots of good conversation and food! Can't top that!
